As an owner of the MG Unicorn Gundam, I was worried that the smaller RG version would have similar issues when it came to stabiity and articulation. I was pleasantly surprised though. In fact, the only place where stability is a very minor issue is the upper portion of the legs, which tend to come loose and shift back into Unicorn mode when you’re trying to pose it in Destroy mode. With that minor complaint aside I’ll get onto the kit’s positives:Looks: 5/5While some might think the Unicorn is a bit plain when stood alongside other protagonist mobile suits, which usually sport a mixture of reds, blues and yellows alongside the white, the minimalist design actually works well for the Unicorn. When in Destroy Mode, the red psychoframe stands out incredibly well against the three shades of white/gray pieces that make up the majority of the kit’s body. Alongside that, you’re given several shades of blue pieces to add a bit of color separation to the backpack and feet. The RG unicorn is also more detailed than its MG counterpart, having many more panel lines on its legs and upper body.As usual with RG kit’s you’re given a large sheet of realistic marking stickers. Personally I think the Unicorn would look a little bit too busy with all of them applied, along with panel lining, but gunpla is freedom; apply as many as you like. It does come with gold stickers for the v-fin, but I used a gold gundam marker on mine.Articulation: 5/5While I can’t comment on the PG or HG variants of the Unicorn due to not owning either, the RG Unicorn’s articulation is leagues better than the MG. The shoulders have a much wider range of motion, allowing it to hold the bazooka with ease. The articulation in the legs is the biggest improvement, though. While the MG’s legs can barely perform a 90 degree bend, the RG almost has a full bend in both Unicorn mode and Destroy mode. Paired with the range of motion in the shoulders, you can pull off some great poses. The head, however, doesn’t move much at all in destroy mode. It was tricky just to get it to rotate for the pose I’ve displayed it in (shown in the attached photos). The waist area doesn’t have much articulation either, but I have no complaints about that as the kit is much more stable as a result, and it’s due to the kit’s transformation gimmick.Build design: 5/5Because of the transition between Unicorn mode and Destroy mode, the MG version had a lot of issues with stability and articulation. It is not the same for the RG, however. In both versions there is a clip on the Unicorns back that you’re supposed to lift, then pull the Unicorn’s chest unit up. This causes the armor in the waist to separate and reveal the inner psychoframe. With MG, I found that this clip would come loose if you did so much as look at it, with caused the upper body of the Unicorn to sort of...droop as a result. With the RG, this clip is much more secure, and due to the mechanisms of the inner frame (which Bandai have designed specifically for this kit, rather than reusing older RG frames) there is no forward bend at the waist. As such, the RG unicorn has no problems with maintaining its transformation. As a whole, the transformation is a much simpler, more secure process than it is with the MG.However, like a lot of reviews here I feel like I need to give one warning: the joints of this kit are EXTREMELY stiff. I highly, highly recommend loosening them up by playing with them a bit before you complete the build, to avoid breaking any of them later.Extras: 5/5The accessories that the Unicorn comes with are its standard weapon loadout; the Beam Magnum, the hyper bazooka, four beam saber handles and two sabers, and the shield. For hands, Bandai have not included the flimsy articulated hands that many RG kits come with. Instead the Unicorn comes with sturdy, HGUC style hands - six of them, actually; a pair of hands to hold the weapons, a pair of expressive hands, and a pair of fists.Alongside the transforming v-fin, you also get static versions of it as well - one for Unicorn mode, and one for Destroy mode. Like all RGs you also get an unpainted pilot figure, and a sheet of marking stickers.Tl;dr: if you’re a fan of the Unicorn series, this kit is a must have. This is, without a doubt, one of the best RG kits available.Mine is displayed with the RG Sinanju which is, of course, sold separately.

Excellent à monter, la transformation prend du temps mais c'est super. Les RG sont de très bonne qualité je recommande !
