Not good quality and doesn’t fit well

As part of the Amazon Vine programme, I had the opportunity to try out the BAIYULE Running Vest Hydration Backpack. Overall, it’s a decent quality hydration vest, but it doesn’t quite reach the level of exceptional. The hydration gear, while useful, adds significant weight even before adding water. Without the hydration gear installed, the vest isn’t the lightest I’ve experienced. It’s not heavy, but it’s also not the pinnacle of lightweight vest design. Additionally, I was slightly disappointed by the small clasps and rigid straps used for securing it—I generally prefer larger, more robust clasps with elasticated straps for a more secure and comfortable fit.The vest is made from lightweight and breathable material and offers a good amount of storage, especially with the back section. There’s a large compartment that spans the height and width of the vest, secured with a small Velcro fastening. This compartment also contains a divider, allowing you to carry the hydration bladder alongside other items. Additionally, there’s a zip pocket at the top of the back section, which could be useful for storing keys, snack bars, or similar items.On the front, both shoulder straps feature multiple pockets. One side has a zip-secured pocket designed to hold your phone, although it’s important to note that this vest doesn’t have any waterproof pockets. While the numerous access points and straps provide flexibility—especially for fixing the hydration tube if used—I would have liked to see at least one additional, separate, and secure pocket specifically for payment cards or cash.The vest provides a comfortable fit, but it’s not a tight-fitting running vest, and you can feel it move when you do. Because of this, I believe it’s better suited for hiking and walking. Although I haven’t tested it while cycling, I think it could work well for that activity too.

I got this as I was after a hydration pack for my longer runs, and carrying a bottle seemed to be a hinderance to me.First off this hydration pack is very lightweight, obvs excluding the water in the bladder which would add approx 2Kg to the weight once full.The vest fits nice and snug which is a good thing as I was worried that I might get blisters wearing something heavier than my normal running shirt.There are pockets in the vest which you can house mobile phones / keys etcThe bladder is situated in the rear of the vest and this is secured into a velcro pocket and the fluid tube can be fed from either the left or right shoulder.The mouthpiece has a plastic cap which can be a little stiff to remove, but like others have said Im sure that this will get easier over time.One thing I did like was that there was no plastic taste to my water when I used the bladder. I have found many other bladders / water bottles always give that slightly plastic taste, but there isnt any of that here.Personally I love this vest , and for the money I dont think you will go wrong. This is a recommended product and is suited to most outdoor activities, running, jogging, hiking, cycling etc

Used 3/4 times and the bladder had started leaking.Comfortable to run in, but now not fit for purpose.
