Behringer DCX2496LE Uiterst nauwkeurig digitaal 24-bit/96 kHz beheersysteem voor luidsprekers

This piece of kit is genuinely amazing and I *rarely* recommend or review anything. I had been running previously, a Behringer CX3400 which I thought was fine until I then happened to buy a Graphic, the Behringer FBQ6200HD which also had a crossover output. This was MUCH better, to the point I thought the CX3400 must have been faulty. However, I never liked the graphic equaliser since it had some hiss on once channel and wanted to bin it, so I took a punt and bought this Ultradrive 2496.Sure, I read a lot about the unit on the internet, but until you actually use these things yourself, let's face it, you're in the dark. The manual didn't make much sense either but I had the confidence that I'd probably work it out.To cut a long story short (and most of a Sunday afternoon), this thing makes your sound system thoroughly sing. My subs now have real ground shaking depth and the tops have that "special" top end at around 9Khz. I love the fact that I can tailor my subs perfectly. I add about 6db of bottom end at around 45Hz.Now, I'm probably running a slight bigger system than the home-boys. I have a pair of Crown K2 amps with the bottom one bridged for the sub output. I ave 18 inch subs and 15 inch with horn tops (effectively a PA system). So LOUD isn't a problem, what was always the issue was real definition. I've got it. And frankly, I had it as soon as I managed to get the routing sorted WITHOUT tailoring the EQ at all. Bottom line is that I'm using channel 1 & 2 in SUM mode and 3 & 4 in Left / Right mode. TLast 2 channels are not used. Actually, neither is channel 2, but I don't know how to reuse the channel now that it's allocated as a SUM with Channel 1. Maybe that's it.Anyway, if you you are bi-amping or tri-amping your system DO NOT HESITATE.What I didn't like was setting it up. Now that I've actually achieved it properly with limiters, renaming the channels and everything, I'm more confident again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.Did I mention the "hardly ANY hiss issue"? That's because with my amps turned to the 12 oclock position, I still get about 1,000 watts sub and maybe 500 watts off the top and I can't hear a bloody thing on silent. The unit performs great and sounds great. The manual is weak and doesn’t provide any recommendations or information on setup or how to run the RTA.

I discovered that Behringer makes a less expensive model that just gives you less complexity essentially just some knobs to control bass, no EQ's no summing and combining but a whole lot easier to get a sub up and running for a basic system. However their are some good YouTube vids to help you set this model up, but be prepared to spend two or three hours.
