I'm not much of a gadget lover, but even I am impressed by it.PROs:1) Excellent sound quality - quite amazing considering its small, compact size. Sound quality doesn't diminish as you increase the volume, like some other speakers I've owned.2) Excellent battery life once fully charged.3) Quite intuitive and straightforward Bluetooth pairing to laptop and iPhone, even for a Luddite like me who owns a relatively ancient laptop (Windows 7).4) Voice announces status of remaining battery charge (in steps of 10%), when paired or disconnected to any Bluetooth device, and when ready for pairing.5) Compact, highly portable with a good range of Bluetooth reception - works fine when speaker and playback device are in separate rooms divided by a concrete wall (but I haven't tried one upstairs and one downstairs yet).CONs:1) Expensive. This is the most expensive speaker I've ever bought. But you do get discernibly impressive sound and build quality for your money.2) The American accent that announces the status of the device gets on my nerves - but that's a minor personal sensibility, and one which may not irritate others.I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife who loves it because it delivers exactly what she wanted : it provides excellent sounding music that is portable from room to room on a device that looks stylish and is compact enough to tuck down almost anywhere, and seems to keep its charge for ages. Although not cheap, its solid build quality augurs well for many years of superior audio enjoyment that should more than compensate for the initial outlay.

I will admit that I am a bit of a Bose fan anyway.This speaker gives you all the things you expect from Bose, excellent sound, easy pairing, good battery life and fast charging. The thing you do notice is the weight. This feels like a solid piece of kit despite it's small size.On to the sound, as with a lot of Bose kit, it is amazing how such a small device can fill a room with sound and the quality is excellent. You can hear everything - there is no compromise.The portability is great, you can take it anywhere and it just works. I've said before, pairing is so easy and I had this up and running within 2 minutes of getting out of the box and I didn't even read the instructions.As I said, a great piece of kit.

I have owned several Bose products over the years. What they have all had in common is that they have always been extremely well built, produced excellent quality sound and have the "feel" of quality about them. This mini speaker is no different, it feels substantial and weighs just enough to give an assurance of quality.Connections are either through bluetooth or through male to male 3.5 phono lead and pairing is extremely easy, assisted by voice prompts from the unit. Interestingly it connects to both mine and my wife's iphone at the same time though will only play from one source at a time.Charging can be done via the discreet charging base plugged to power via micro usb connection or direct to the unit with the same micro usb cable (supplied).The sound through the unit is absolutely mind blowing considering the size. The bass is sufficient though not over-powering - at higher volumes you get more of a hint at the bass than actual sound. Sub bass is evident at lower volumes but is lost at mid to high volume. The mid and tweet range is extremely good.Tested for the review -Clare de Lune - Debussy. Fantastic quality throughoutWhen the Beat Drops Out - Marlon Roudette. Excellent performance, bass response is acceptable without being over-powering.Gangsta - Kehlani. This song is laced from start to finish with sub-bass and the bass is quite intrinsic to the whole piece. At low volumes you get a much better idea than at moderate or high volumes. The sound was still enjoyable but I knew that "part" of the song was missing or more accurately being "hinted at".One of the best "features" is that unlike other speakers which also cannot handle full range frequencies, the Bose Mini doesn't lose performance in other bandwidths trying to play frequencies it can't handle.In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend this speaker despite it's price for what it was intended for. A fully portable speaker to be used in the garden, garage, beach or poolside. Though it fills my 40 foot by 17 foot kitchen with rich sound, i'm sure it probably wouldn't be sufficient for a house party.

This is a great mini sound system, is it expensive? well yes if you compare it to cheap bluetooth speakers for under £30. But make no mistake, this is a sound system in a league of its own. The warm rich sound, which pushes through these speakers is phenomenal and breathtaking. Like how can so much sound come out of such a small speaker? Obviously this is not a replacement for a HI-FI set up, but there is certainly enough volume and depth to fill a large living room.In terms of the quality and ease of use of this speaker, I have no qualms there. The only criticism I have is that the hands free capabilities of this speaker is rather flawed, but then again the main purpose of this speaker is not hands-free calling.
