Very good quality as expected from Bridgedale, but ... sizing guide is not right.I am a standard US 12 in all major hiking shoe brands and ordered the Large as recommended by Bridgedale. The socks stretch to 3/4s up my calf.Bridgedale recommend Large for US10 to US 12.5. I should have bought the Medium which they recommend for US7-9.5. It's a borderline decision on which size to get if you are a US12/UK11.I expect these to stretch out with further use.(reviewed their base liner - if buying a liner definitely buy the Medium)

I bought these socks with amazon prime and received bridgedale socks. the quality is immediately obvious. thick, comfortable, durable and warm when its cold but my feet never get sweaty. I have been using them for over a year and I know when I have forgot to wash them because I have to wear an alternative and feel the difference immediately. You can feel the lack of cushioning immediately on each step of walking. I have bought more. you pay for quality, but I see no signs of wear and I think they will last a long time. I'm not easy on my socks and often walk outside wearing them to the dustbins. I see the other review for this sock and wonder if they got the same item because a 1 star review makes no sense. I am a convert to these awesome socks.
