Fits great on the rv ladder

I bought this to mount a flag on my camper van ladder. The item itself appeared, sturdy and well-made for what it was. However, be very careful about what kind of ladder you might have on your van or RV. My ladder is tubular aluminum and the mounting hardware that comes with this flag pole mount is too short to use. I bought different hardware at the store and was able to mount it. If you have the same thing in mind, you need 1/4 inch bolts. Also have in mind, if you have a 1 inch in diameter flagpole, the tightening bolt that comes with this is far too short. That item was much harder to find at the store, because it was a metric measurement in a length that they just didn’t have in stock as a thumbscrew or knob-type bolt. This would have meant having to get a wrench out every time I wanted to install or remove the flag. Once I figured out the size I needed, I was able to buy a knob style bolt on Amazon that I can use to easily tighten and loosen so I can install or remove the flag pole. While all of that was a pain, it wasn’t necessarily a reflection of this item. Once all that got sorted out, we are happy with how it looks on the ladder, and how it functions to hold the flagpole.
