This runs on propane or butane bottles(not supplied). You get a 37mbar hose and regulator to use with propane or you can buy an adapter hose and 30mbar regulator for Butane. The connector screws onThere is a plastic shower hose and full sized shower head supplied with it.There is a push fit adapter to connect it by.You dont get any kind of water supply hose and the hose you use for it needs to screw on.Washers are supplied for the hoses and screws and wall plugs for the shower head holder and for fitting the unit to the wall.LOCATIONKeep in mind that this has a flame when its running and needs to exhaust spent fumes out of the top.The entire top surface is the vent .Its not for use in enclosed spaces as you MUST ventilate for butane and propane. You could have it on your van door for showering when camping or hang it in an outhouseIt is portable with a carry handle that folds down so you can use it for both.We will be using it for the pool house aka big shed , so we can shower off after chlorine water swims, to avoid green hair and trailing water into the house from wet swim stuff.Well be using the garden hose to supply it initially and likely just allow the water to end up back in the pool. Its not super lightweight really at 7KG .WATER SUPPLYYou can use fresh water , pool water or the tapFor pool water you might need to use a filter to avoid cholorine deposits wearing away the internals and debris clogging the input filter and you would need to pump it to the heater.WATER PRESSURE NEEDEDYou do have to have a good supply of water as it can output 10 litres a minute. If you buy a submersible pump, this can be used to feed water to the heater from a bucket or other water container. It also works on our garden tap water pressure .There are various ways of describing water pressure so...Minimum pressure of water to feed it is 0.6 gallons Per Minute upto 2.6 GPMAccording to their website, 2.5 PSI minimum is neededMinimum pressure (also from their site) is 0.25 to 8.0 barYou might want to buy a water flow guage to check thisIts quite an adaptable portable shower/water heater and a terrific luxury for camping scenarios or cold water sea swimming if you have the space in your vehicle and a way to suspend it.I dont know if there is an internal pump. It does give a good shower flow but I think the batts only work to ignite , while the pressure coming out, is reliant on the pressure going in.We hooked it up to the spare gas tank we had in the van just to test it.It heats fast and can be set for temperature and flow using the controls. The read out shows in centigrade. It can get very hot (scalding hot on hottest setting) so you need to check before stepping under it and be there to set it when kids are using it.BATTERIESTo run the internals it uses 2 D cell batteries (not supplied) which are the big round kind you get in larger camping lamps . The battery box comes out and its obvious which direction the batts go in. You push it in to click it in place. To get it out, give it a little twist and pull down.No electrical supply is needed nearby providing you dont need to power a water pump to feed it.It is possible to buy several less forceful feed versions of this brand of shower and at least one, more powerful model, so they have most scenarios covered. You cant leave this out at the mercy of the weather, it needs some cover else it will rust. The back of the unit has screw holes and there are fixings provided. So it can hang on screws or nails. You definitely need a firm support, you cant just hang it inside a camping toilet tent from a tent loop.It is possible to use this heater as a general water heater .20lb of propane lasts about 9 hours of constant running on high so it should last very well for taking 5 minute showers.Would be ideal for washing your dogs in the garden .If your looking for one to have in a small van, this is quite large at roughly 2ft tall
