The seller is right about hot water extraction. I was putting little pieces of dried pepper in my oil before adding rice, but wasn't sure I was getting the flavor of these peppers. So I made a batch of my "paella style rice" without any Spanish paprika, and sure enough it was bland. I couldn't detect any pepper flavor. Also, the dried pepper pieces can get stuck in your throat.So I took a thumb sized piece of dried pepper and soaked it in a half cup of hot water. Then I used a spoon to scoop the pulp out and separate it from the skin. Put the pulp back in the water and throw away the skin. Taste the pulp, then you'll be able to pick out the flavor in the dish you're cooking. It's not a smoky flavor, but a very subtle, mild heat that you will feel and taste on your tongue for about half an hour after eating.I use a half cup less broth to make up for the addition of this pepper water, which I pour into one cup of rice when adding the broth. If you're making a bigger batch, you might use a whole cup of water.

Finalement, même si c'est les vraies ñoras, le paquet est trop petit. IL faudrait presque en acheter plus d'une unité.
