Unica pecca è che ogni tanto si disconnette dallo smartphone senza un motivo apparente, ristabilita la connessione BT da smartphone riprende a funzionare. So unlike many others, I wanted this to be able to work in my car - to provide easier access to my whatsapp messages on the go and my audio books (and phone calls etc.) all via voice command - and whilst it was super simple to connect the unit to my USB in the car (so I got power - this can be connected via a lead to a bike or via a USB to the car) and it was very easy then to connect up to my phone (via bluetooth) and I could instantly see my phone apps (even my screensaver !) on the screen I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get any sound. The instructions are well written and I did do everything they suggested to get the sound, but I couldn't get to that successful point which was a great shame. I really wanted to be read my whatsapp messages on the go (I could see the messages were coming in on the unit, but couldn't get them to be read out (or to speak my replies to send)), to be able to call out for map directions and to voice call my contacts - but I could see that it was trying to hear me, and trying to play out the audio but nothing happened. Not sure if that was a fault of my android phone setting (possibly), the unit itself (doubtful as its brilliant at everything else) or user error (most probably). So I can vouch for the fact its an awesome set up - superbly robust, great sized screen, flexible for bikes AND cars use and its just a shame that I couldn't get it to do what I wanted (but I fully accept that is my failing). I will enlist the help of a more technical person and will update the review once I have done that !!

Acquire item to review and use, order arrived on time and well packed.Now then whilst I appreciate it's function / purpose I'm a little confused on its role due to the market / advertising? Obviously it's a very common article now used on motorbikes but under product description it states W502 designed for cycling, even thought it showing motorbike pictures and also quoting for cars?There's many of these units on the market, this one at it's price point does seem a little expensive versus others. That said I'd like to consider it's because it's well made (which it is), works well (which it does).Versus quoting all of it's options / functions which you can obviously read on the advertising I'll just comment on my experience. After connecting to a 12v source the unit powered up and I navigated around the menus via the touch screen. The screen for me was really nice and clear, big and not over crowded, plus I could still see it in daylight!Only works with IOS 6+ and Android 11+ products.The build quality is adequate, it's not quite at a premium level of giving me that additional comfort factor, does feel a little vulnerable.Moving one, what's a little confusing is the massive selection of similar products Carpuride provide. Thus I did take a moment to see where this item sat in the range but gave up trying to cross reference all the products! Would be handy if it was easier to understand why this one has a RRP of £199.99 versus some others retailing for a lot less? (At the time of this review, £189,99 exc. £50 voucher upon checkout). So I would strongly recommend if you intend to purchase one check out if this W502 is the model for you within the Carpuride range.In closing, it's a great unit, very practical, has all the right options for me!5/5

Item received in good condition in a branded box. This comes complete with everything you need to set up on your bike. Setting up was mostly straight forward and without issues.Connection to your phone is smooth and then you really are good to go. I find the mount very sturdy and this doesn’t move at all. The screen size is great and so much better than trying to see your mobile phone whilst riding. The touchscreen is great and is designed for bikers wearing gloves and is responsive.I’m not a huge fan of listening to music on the bike but I do use lots for maps and having the much larger display compared to a phone is worth it alone. Now I have very clear display showing me the way to go and it’s so good how this connects every time straight away to my phone with no issues.This unit is well built and designed well and has a decent waterproof rating however I only like to ride in the dry as much as possible. I believe it’s well worth the extra and switch from a phone on your bars to one of these.

Having carplay in the car, I've always missed that option on my bike for using apple maps on the go.This was really pretty simple to fit, though without an accessory power on my bike i did need to do the additional wiring direct to the battery, but that wasn't too much of a hassle.in use, it was easy to connect and pretty easy to see on the road.. Personally I'm only really interested in using it for navigation, so I've not tested much else, but I do have a bluetooth setup in my helmet and can confirm it works pretty well once you've got used to using siri on the road. I did have a couple of times when siri struggled, but I think that's more down to background noise etc. with my microphone and can't blame the screen for that.At £199 I think it's reasonable value for money, and a worthy upgrade for the bike.Recommended.
