Knew when I ordered these I knew that the 20 amp rating was pushing the limits of 16 Ga wire.Ad claims 20 amps. This is 16 gauge wire of reasonable quality about 3 feet long.Automotive specs say 16 Ga. can be used for 20 amps on runs 2.9 feet with a voltage drop of 2% at 12 volts. At 11 feet the rating drops to 5 amps. I would never fuse this for more than 15 amps.It was supplied with three spare fuses, two 15 amp and one 20 amp. The 20 went in my spares box.The plug seems to be very ridged and the spring tension on both negative and positive is very good.The fly in the ointment here is when you remove the fuse everything falls to pieces. Neither the springnor the positive "button" end is captive. If you change the fuse in the car you will likely have somethinggo missing. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Ring terminals are decent, soldering is well done. There is a piece of heat shrink on the cable to prevent the two wires from separating. As supplied the heat shrink is not shrunk yet. For me this is a good thing as it allows you to separate the two conductors for you needs, then you shrink them to prevent further separation. Also included is a small zip tie to allow you keep any excess length coiled up. I purchased three of these for quick lash ups, and would not hesitate to buy more.

Very good and robust 12V/24V cigarette lighter power plug with an inline 15A fuse, LED light, and 3ft 16AWG cable.

I needed to replace the cables on a power inverter that I had purchased and the old cable wasn’t long enough to reach my 12V plug and remain on the floor of my van, so it ended up putting stress on the cable and plug housing which eventually broke. This replacement plug and cable was sturdy well built and had a much longer cable which didn’t put stress on any of the components
