Nice set that will give good results on planets. The filters are a nice addition.

I don't know much about astronomy, and so I can't speak to how well this would compare with other sets. That being said, it is a nice addition for a beginners telescope. The eyepieces are better quality that the ones that came with my telescope. They are also a good basic cross-section. The main reason I purchased this was the combination of three common filters, a barlow lens, and a solid case. It doesn't disappoint on any of these.The case is ideal, because it is solid and can be added to. It organizes things in a secure and easy fashion.I'm surprised, but I haven't used the highest powered eyepiece as much as I would have thought. This might be different in the future.
