With autumn approaching, and having moved to the north of the UK since last year, I figured I was going to need a hat. The hard part? It gets seriously windy up here, so whatever I bought had to be something that stayed on without me having to hold it there - I'm a wheelchair user, so this was non-negotiable.This style of hat seemed the ideal one to try. I was a little worried about the fact it was only in one size, because I have a large head, but there is an elasticated band through the back of the hat that allows it to fit snugly, and helps keep it on, which was a very pleasant surprise. I do have another of these in a woollen fabric, which is also great, but this one is less likely to pick up lint and cat hairs, so can easily be popped in a handbag 'just in case' and still come out looking good.The other nice thing about this hat is that it's lined so, even when I've worn it in light rain, my head has stayed dry. And being cotton, it dries quickly once you put it somewhere warm.So there you go. For the price, I figured it was worth a try, and it's actually exceeded my expectations. I've had a fair few compliments on it already, and may consider getting it in the darker blue denim colour also. Would love a red version, but for now the classic black is getting its fair share of use as the weather cools.Definitely recommended. I'll probably revert to the woollen one for the really cold weather, but this is the perfect autumn hat.
