Absolutely genuine product

Firstly I'd like to say that the Clover Amour Crochet Hooks, in my opinion, are the best! I own both box sets plus all the large size individuals and they really are the most comfortable to use.After writing up some lacey crochet patterns, I'd initially used the 2mm but found it a tad tight on the thread I was using, so tried with the 2.5mm and found it to be a smidge too loose, thus started the hunt for a 2.25mm. I honestly didn't realise Clover did separate quarter sized hooks from their sets, so you can imagine my delight when I found this. Arrived well packaged and as predicted, the 2.25mm was just right!Glides beautifully on any thread or yarn you are using.You may think they are overpriced, but I can say without doubt they are worth the cost. I've bought the cheaper sets that look all fancy but found they are poorly made and snag on fibres while crocheting, which will ruin the piece you are working on and the yarn.So if you are looking for a premium well made crochet hook that feels great in hand and glides beautifully while crocheting, definitely get these!

Comparing this hook, the Clover Amour, with its predecessor, the Clover Soft Touch, is difficult to do. They are both great hooks, and I would recommend either of them. I had worked with the Soft Touch for several months on a thread crochet project and was satisfied with it. For my yarn projects, though, I had switched from standard plastic hooks to Clover Amour because of arthritis pain in my hands and wrists. After having a lot of success with the Amour hooks, I decided to get it in this size. I discovered that the Amour hook's shaft is a bit longer than the Soft Touch, and that took a little getting used to. The long and the short of it is, while I would use either hook in a pinch, I prefer this Amour hook now that I'm accustomed to the shaft length. It functions perfectly, is very lightweight, and fits comfortably in my hand. The only con, in my opinion, is the color of the cushion grip, but I guess we can't have everything the way we want!
