Firstly, this is not just a Lego "knock off" and the fit/finish of the parts is easily on par with that main brand. Cobi mainly specialises in military builds the likes of which Lego would never touch so have managed to secure a nice corner of the market. They also produce a nice lineup of fully licenced car models if that is more your thing.The KV-2 we have here is the latest in their 1/48 scale models and is a very nice size for the casual collector who does not have a great deal of space to display the larger models that they also produce. For it's size it is very well detailed and quite solid in it's construction and though I would say it is certainly more of a display model it would still stand up reasonably well to a child playing with it. I would also argue that the scale of 1/48 is much closer to "minifig" scale than the larger 1/35 scale models they do if you care about that sort of thing.All Cobi models use printed parts rather than stickers which is a great advantage in my books, their parts are 100% compatible with Lego and there are quite a few unique brick shapes should you wish to disassemble and use the parts (or any spares) in other builds. Their instruction manuals are also on par with Lego, printed clearly on high quality paper and are easy to follow as you would expect. They also have the advantage of generally being cheaper than Lego for the same level of quality.For anyone looking for a gift for the construction block or military enthusiast I really cannot rate these models high enough, so far I have the entire 22 model collection in this scale and none of them has disappointed me. The only word of caution I would say is that due to the nature of the build several of the parts are very small so they may not be suitable for very small children but other than that they really are fantastic little models and they look very good on my shelf.I don't usually "do" reviews but thought I would on this occasion as the brand really does deserve more recognition. Please don't write them off as a "knock off" give them a go, you won't be regret it.

Au moment où j'écris ce commentaire j'ai fini de montrer le KV-2, bien solide est facile à monté mais les chenilles sont très petites est donc compliqué à assemblé je ne les es pas mise de ce fait, est je pense qu'il serai bien intelligent de faire en sorte de gardé les couleurs dans le livret car on ne s'y retrouve pas très bien outre tout sa, je recommande

My son loves tanks. Anything tanks. He asked for a specific tank building set. He has many of these brick building sets. They are not as well made as the name brand set which does not offer military models, so we settle. And even though the quality isn't it good, we appreciate the option. But the tank build could not be complete. Could be that we have misplaced the part or that the part did not make it in packaging. Either way, my son could recognize the tank model and was very excited. But don't expect name brand brick building quality.
