Picture the scene: a warm summer day or evening, sitting at a small table in your garden; a selection of cave-aged cheddar, and Stilton cheese; perhaps some fresh, nicely ripe, Braeburn apples, and a bottle of Malbec (IMHO the finest of all robust red wines). You offer your two or three guests a glass and serve the wine in these tumblers, instantly transporting them to thoughts of a typical Italian bistro...OK well at least that's my own memory of Italy.I've been looking for this type of wine tumbler on and off for several years now and I never realised that this Duralex version is probably the one they use in the movies and TV shows (check out 'Ripley' on Netflix to see what I mean).Forget your standard wine goblets and shot glasses and whisky glasses...just by loads of these and your sorted for any beverage you can think of...even Guinness (if you like to savour your beer!). :)

Oops, I reversed my reviews for the different sizes. I placed my review for this size glass on the smaller whiskey-sized Amalfi.But it's basically the same. These are lovely, elegant glasses that fit my hand well and don't slip out. The design is tasteful and modern. The clarity of glass is good and they are durable. I have dropped things on them, and dropped a few, but haven't broken one yet.I have these in two sizes— shot-glass size and juice-glass size—but I wish they came in an even larger, water-tumbler size.
