'I Man a the Stall-a-Watt' collects 13 tracks on one album, highlighting the singer's prominence in the golden era of reggae from the early '70s to early '80s. The title is a boast from the early soundclash era when many of Campbell's tracks, here produced primarily by Bunny Lee, would play first on King Tubby's Home Town Hi-Fi in Ja-maica.

Where do you start on Cornell Campbell? He is an epic roots and steppers reggae singer with a falsetto voice (at times) and an unknown gem to those new to reggae. This is a greatest hits package with most of his best known songs, some of which are repeated on other collections. However, those songs found on 'I Shall Not Remove 1975-80' are often extended or megamix versions, so you may still want that album too for hard core collectors. Once again, some of the hit songs on the 'My Destination' album are not included on the 'I Man A The Stal-A-Watt' album, so you may still want 'My Destination' too. In short, if you only want one Cornell Campbell album, start with this one if you are new to Campbell or reggae album collecting. But if you want a good survey of his work, buy all three. Other banger albums are available like 'Fight Against Corruption', so there are many great albums to choose from. I would rate this as a mandatory album in any top 100 reggae album collections.
