At first trying this pick, I discover a great control with this due to the anti-slip Duragrip with the initial etching on both sides. Nice feature! Second is the the TONE and Durability likely due to the high-quality celluloid material they are made of. Probably, imo, the best feature with these picks. They're designed in partnership with Joe Satriani, iconic Guitarist in his own right and have the "Satch Grip X-Heavy" feature. You'll notice that immediately upon trying them! Nice! It is a pack of 5 picks -1.5mm thick in a faux tortoise shell colouring. I have tried hundreds of Guitar picks throughout my years of playing and performing and these picks, imo, rate quite high as to Feel, Tone and Durability. Pricey? Perhaps, but, if you don't lose any, they could last you quite awhile. I'd recommend these for either/or Acoustic or Electric Guitarists out there! Might also be cool for Mandolin players as well. I seldom give any product 5 Stars but I think these Picks deserve it! Keep in mind, they're 1.5mm thick and if you're not used to that, this might not be for you. I personally use 1mm - 1.5mm picks every time, so I'm used to that gauge of thickness. Made by the D'Addario company USA, who are well respected among Guitarists everywhere! Play On!

When you see the words heavy duty when it comes to picks, that usually means thick. Thankfully, these are heavy duty but not too thick - they're a very good quality pick - which is probably why Joe Satriani put his name on them. :DThey also have a grip on them so the picks don't slip out of your hands. They're easy to hold as opposed to smooth (normal) ones.These are kind of expensive but I'm sure it's because of all the bells and whistles, plus it having Joe Satriani''s name on them. I've never seen their equal and I recommend them highly!

I’ve been a long-time fan of Joe Satriani’s guitar work for years as I’ve been learning to play the guitar myself. When I discovered that he had his own line of guitar picks, I was eager to try them out. What I particularly like about these guitar picks is the J and S logo, which adds a unique texture to the pick that makes it less prone to slipping. These guitar picks are definitely on the heavier side. They’re very thick and don’t bend at all. They feel great in my hand while playing, and thanks to the texture on the pick, I don’t have to worry about them slipping around while I’m playing. They are a bit pricey, currently selling for $20 for a five-pack, but considering their sturdy construction, I believe they’ll last a long time.

The pick feels good in the hand, like it's never going to slip. Size is right for my medium sized fingers.One star deducted for the outrageous price for 5 picks, but I needed to test them out.

These picks are pretty great, if you're fond of something super thick. My one tiny critique is that the point (the part with which you're picking the strings) could be a tad sharper. It felt a tiny bit dull to me, though it still produces a great sound. Probably just my own OCD on the matter. But the grip is great, and as an acoustic player it's nice to have something substantial between your fingers, with which you can really invigorate the strumming dynamic when needed. I just really can't stand flimsy picks, and this is one of the thickest I've ever used. As one other reviewer noted, you might be paying a bit for the Satriani signature, but either way it's a good product.
