The CRI is correct in the deception. I bought this for painting models and it help show colours correctly. The dimmer is finicky at first but you quickly learn how to use it properly. The only downside you may find is that if you are looking for a very bright light then you might be disappointed. It wasn't an issue for me and is perfect for what I use it for as I have the light pretty close to my eyes so I can paint models and direct the light to where I want the highlight. While physically being narrow the source of light is defused very well and doesn't cast unwanted shows. It's built like a rock. I'm not gentle with it and it has served me well for the past year and a half. The one a bought was an Amazon return so it was discounted but arrived in mint condition. If you don't need a super bright light source then it's perfect.

This light was exactly what I was looking for but when it arrived it has a foreign power cord. I thought having bought it from the Australian site it would have an Australian power cord. I have had to buy a conversion power switch to get it to work.The light is very bright which is what I wanted, very good if it had the correct power cord.

Because it was for me and quite expensive, I really dithered over buying this. I am so glad I finally bought it. It arrived carefully packaged, was simplicity itself to put together, and is just the most incredible thing. I can now adjust it to everything I do! My Yeti of a son can use it as well, up where the air is thin! The quality of the design is excellent; the control is so easy to use. This is pure quality.

I love the sturdiness of the light. Assembly very simple. The only thing I wish was the bulb was a bit longer as I use the light to do cosmetics and the light does not fully illuminate both sides of the face.
