I bought this lamp for my home office. I was previously using an Anglepoise 1227 with LED warm light bulb which was mostly ok but still made me reach for the ceiling light on really dark days. With this lamp, I feel no need to turn the main light on, as it provides excellent and comfortable lighting levels even on the dreariest days. You can adjust the orientation to make it inobtrusive, and I also love that you can adjust the colour temperature. I will be testing different levels as the days get longer and lighter.

Excellent light output and ideal for the hobbyist. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

This lamp is a godsend for any needleworker. It is particularly good for using with black on black sewing which is often impossible under ordinary electric light. It can be switched to various intensities which is also very useful when your eyes are a bit tired. I highly recommend it and it's worth every penny.
