Tip of the day: You can take the filter off to clean it, but first I like to clean the oil pan as much a possible and then run the hot tap through the open valve backwards for a minute or so, (Photo). Do remember to close the valve before refilling with oil. Really great deep fryer. Really well made, excellent design and top quality manufacture. The reliability and warranty of De'Longhi has a great reputation. This will last for years and years. Heats up promptly, but more importantly it keeps the oil at a reliably constant temperature even when the food is added, absolutely essential. Not too hot, not too cool. There are less expensive deep fryers, but it is the quality of build and ease of cleaning that is so important for me. Not just for hygiene, but 3 litres of oil is quite heavy to pour out of the pan and I do not have the strength or dexterity that I used to have. So pouring out of a nozzle safely to empty into a bottle or two is so much more convenient and so, so much safer! Can you imagine the inconvenience (and cost) of cleaning up 3 litres of sticky cooking oil! Not to mention how unsafe doing that would be. So impressed with this fryer I had to buy it from Amazon Germany as I could not find this model as a new one in the UK. It had a Euro plug but that was no problem, but this is a powerful machine so do make sure your power socket is 100% up to the job and is part if a main ring circuit and not just on a spur or you could have problems with voltage drop or even overheating socket. A worn or cheap socket may be a loose pin connection which will result in possible arcing, a 'hot' spot, even a possible overheated socket. Likewise with such a powerful device I would not really recommend the use of an adaptor, far too easy for it to become a bit 'loose'. The only criticism I have is the 'lid' with this model. I did not want the larger size fryer, (too much oil for me to deal with). This model comes with little more than a black plastic 'dust' cover. It cannot (and must not) be used when the fryer is being used. Luckily a couple of years ago I found this model of fryer at a 'car-boot' for sale as 'not working', so a very cheap purchase. It was very clean. I had only really bought it for the basket as I was determined to find on of these fryers brand new and knew I would like an extra basket, it makes some meals so much easier to make. When I got it home I just re-set the cut-out button at the back and it worked fine, (had read a lot of reviews). There were some scratches round the re-set button hole of this second-hand fryer. I guess they just did not have something thin enough to reach in and push the switch inside. I did go back to find the seller the next week to give them some more money, but I never found them again. But this model had the metal lid with the glass window and fume filter which I can now use with the new one.

Was not worth the money fryer very badly made it does not seem secure when parts fitted together as not got a turn off and on switch it as to be done with plug socket also not stated a foreign plug with adapter plug which I plugged in and adapter plug will not come back out so will have to pay for electrician to sort this also can not have lid on when cooking which is not good a lot of money for something made so cheap

Je recommande vivement ce produit.Cela fait un moment maintenant que je l'ai acheté et j'ai le recul nécessaire.Elle est simple à utiliser, on met la température que l'on souhaite.Une marque pour mettre ce qu'il faut d'huile.Ensuite, il y a un robinet pour faire s'écouler l'huile, c'est parfait.Après le lavage même à la main est aisé.Le couvercle est cependant pour moi le seul bémol à ce produit, il crée de l'eau qui retombe sur les côtés.Penser à faire cuire les frites dehors ou mettre un plat ou un torchon dessous.Sinon, vraiment bien.
