Bought this for an ESP32 project. Chose this particular version because it was 3.3V native to go with the ESP32 in my very low power application. Some others on Amazon are 5V which may suit you if you are on a 5V Arduino.Sensor works well, confirmed it is indeed the BME280 and reports temp, humidity and pressure.There are plenty of good BME280 libraries out there (see GitHub sparkfun etc) so it was up and running within minutes. No problem at all. Sparkfun library for example can convert the pressure to altitude etc.Very good price compared to some other BME280 sensors being sold on Amazon. Always a gamble buying for the first time. Some sellers say BME280 when they mean the lesser BMP280 and I was a little worried here because the price was so reasonable. Needn’t have worried, it is the BME280 and very happy with it.I see no reason to buy a more expensive variant when this one works. In fairness there isn’t really much to go wrong - the Bosch sensor is a bought in part and the remainder is but a few SMD resistors on the board. Makes it hard to justify the prices some sellers charge!Would recommend this to others.
