It's great for beginners. The contents are very easy to follow. The disadvantage is you will finish this book in very short time. I think it's a little bit too expensive for this very thin book.

This is a great easy to follow book for beginners. Great examples with clear instructions

I searched for a great, affordable, book that would help my daughter learn ukulele. I'm so glad I ended up getting this one. I have been incredibly impressed by Pierre Hache's book. The font is large and easy to read, as are the illustrated chords. This is not a small detail. When one is playing an instrument and trying to read music at the same time it can be challenging if the book is hard to read. Furthermore, the method itself, as laid out by the author, is explained in a clear manner. The progression within the book, from simple notes to more complex chords, strumming patterns, etc., really makes a lot of sense and allows the learner to gain confidence as they progress. At this price the book is a steal. I may buy other ukulele books for my daughter in the future, but I can't think of a better one for her to have started with. I really, really have to emphasize the visual layout/formatting of this book. It's wonderfully conceived as it's so easy to follow and read.
