I was looking forward to putting this in my rack, it's got so many plus points. Next generation UPS which is more efficient, shorter depth so would fit my rack perfectly and apparently not that noisy, I set this up outside of my rack and let it do it's initial 24 hour charge. There was a noticeable whine and noise level was > 45 dB but I put this down to it charging the battery. However once this was complete, even with or without any load, the whine and higher than advertised noise level persisted.I know these types of UPS will make some noise but clearly not at this level. As this was going to be used in a home office this was completely unacceptable and so I've had to return it.
