I want to like these. They ticked all the boxes for me functionality wise. Bought them about 5 months ago but jjst got around to installing last week. Setup was easy and connected to the app in just a few seconds. I have other devices that use the SmartLife app and i like it so that was nice. Worked well for about two days and then both failed and refuse to connect to network or do anything at all. Battery replaced twice: nothing. Tried to reset. Nothing. I pulled the batteries and just left them on my workbench for a few days then decided to try these one more time (same batteries) and voila, they worked again. Going on about 5 days of continuous working so this isnt a long term review but at least these are back to doing their job. Will update this review in a few more months. If yours are giving you problems, maybe try leaving them off (no batteries) for a while and try again. Not exactly a confidence builder in the product, but not useless either.

Bought these sensors for my windows and was left thoroughly disappointed.First of all, the app is truly horrible. Most of the features do not work, it’s full of bugs and typos. Its “help” section is actually just a static FAQ and good luck trying to talk to an actual person — you’ll get a terrible response from a very poor robot.As soon as I put the batteries in, which were new, the app stated that my sensors were at 50% charge. What’s more, anytime I clicked the buttons to turn the sensors on/off when I was in the setup process, 1% was taken off the charge.So I can expect the battery to be dead within a month! How fun.And it’s a common problem as I can see from the FAQ page which they blame on “excess usage” — I’m not sure how clicking one button per day is anything far from the expected usage of a window sensor.Also, disarming the alarm from the app does not work. So I don’t know how you would even put this on a door unless you want to be greeted by a loud siren when you come home.Truly a terrible product and I wouldn’t buy again, nor will I ever buy anything from this company again if this is the app they have to offer.I give it 2 stars and not 1 because hey, at the end of the day it still screamed at me when I opened the window, which is what I bought it for.

Easy to install app and connect to wi-fi, but alarm wouldn't sound when installed on door. Thought issue was distance between sensor and alarm, so re-installed but that wasn't the issue. I took it off door again and could get it to work when holding sensor and alarm together. Had purchased two alarms but neither worked when installed. Will be returning both. Very disappointing.
