Esteticamente accattivante e particolare, molto robusto e ben realizzato. Protegge decisamente bene il disco m.2 al suo interno e sfrutta la velocità fino a 10 gbps via usb-c. Il display integrato che mostra alcune info è veramente particolare e unico su un case per dischi esterni. La confezione contiene tutto il necessario per l’installazione del disco, compreso pad termici e mini cacciavite. Il cavo usb-c è incluso.

Some reviews of the enclosure and the SSD were mixed, however I found both to be efficient. The display is useful to monitor status and overall I am impressed with performance and speed.

Works as advertised plus I like the led screen on the lid of the enclosure….Great idea. It is also fast and does’nt get really hot.

I'm testing it with a Kingston NV2 SSD at 5Gbps (the front USB ports in my case are USB 3.0). It dissipates temperatures very well. The information displayed on the screen is very good. It's missing the ability to view the write and read speeds separately, but it provides very good information for monitoring.In terms of construction, it's made of very high-quality aluminum, the part that makes contact with the SSD, which helps passively dissipate heat more easily. The metal cover is quite thick, giving the SSD a surface area to dissipate the heat it produces during operation.The front has an industrial design. You can see the components that make up the PCB, along with what appears to be a Realtek controller. I'd like to assume it's the PCI controller and the one that negotiates between the PSB port and the PCI port. This doesn't matter to most people, but for geeks like me, this design is great.The screen is set to Chinese by default; however, where your hand is, you can tap three times to quickly switch to English. Additionally, this adapter has an accelerometer, so the screen will rotate depending on the adapter's orientation, a pretty cool feature. If you don't like it, you can disable it and enable manual screen rotation, also using gestures.Regarding writing and reading, it matches the transfer speed of an SSD, but it's only twice as fast as a traditional hard drive, reaching 300-350 MB/s. I suppose that if I switch to USB 3.1 with 10 Gbps of bandwidth, this write rate will increase, but I can't say the exact number at the moment (I suppose it could double or almost double it, reaching standard SATA SSD speeds, which is pretty good, to be honest).I don't regret the purchase; it's a good adapter and an alternative to portable SSDs.
