This knife set boggles my mind.The block is cheap plastic and the cleaver knifedoes not fit in any of the slots, unlike what is shown intheir photo. It looks ridiculous sticking up from theblock as high as it does.There is a built-in sharpener at the end of oneof the knife slots.The knife handles are plastic and capped at the endswith metal.The blades are sharp and have a nice Damascus design.One of the best items in this set is the heavy-duty poultry shears.Those will come to good use.So there are a couple of nice things about the knivesbut I'm going to be tossing that block.

Bought this knife set, the knives are sharp, rips a paper as easily as possible, it remains to be seen how long the sharpness lasts. The handles of the knives I bought are made of wood and very comfortable to hold. The knife block that someone previously mentioned, I have no problem with except that it was difficult to pull out the wrapped knives when I got them home. I had to pull the wide chopping knife up and down a few times so now it runs easily. A plus is the built-in sharpening stone in the block, but as with all other knives, these too must be sharpened at some point on real diamond or stone sharpening stones

Great knife set family loves it

The knives look great and arrived very sharp. It was a pleasure to prep Thanksgiving with a new set of knives. I love the pattern on the knives as well. Ver pretty. The problem with the knives is the knife block. I struggles to get all the knives out. Once I had the knives all out I could not get the largest one back in. I gave up and attached it to the magnet on the wall. The rest of the knives made it back in, but it was a sloppy container that did not really hold the knives in place. The top of the block is a poorly sized piece of plastic that does not function well. The set of knives work well but at this price point if you say a knife block is part of the package, it too should function well.
