Once installed, it worked well and looks fine, but wow, the installation really sucked! Maybe my door just has super tight tracks/channels. The first half of the 16' door went somewhat quickly, but the rest took a lot of time and an abundance of patience. I had to shoot almost a whole can of Blaster silicone spray lubricant continuously into the tracks. You also definitely need two people - one person to feed and push and keep it from jumping out of the tracks, and one pulling the other end with a large pair of pliers. Afterwards, I had to reset the pressure on my garage door opener (suggestion: find your manual BEFORE you begin this project) as this new weatherstrip was bulkier and more heavy-duty than the old one that had disintegrated. After a wet winter, I can say there's a much better seal than before.

So I ordered this weather stripping because I have two garage doors and they take different weather stripping. So make sure you know which one you need prior to ordering.Once installed, the plastic tube inside does a great job of keeping the weather strip full and rounded so that it keeps good contact with the ground and provides that barrier to keep debris, bugs and everything else out of your garage. The downside is this is a pain in the butt to install. At least on my garage door, it wasn't as simple as a slide-in replacement. I had to work it along the entire bottom of the door. I had to slide it an inch or two then go to the opposite end and do the same so that it didn't pull out of the track. For a two car garage door, it took me over an hour and that was while using a lubricant to help it move easier.

Love the way it looks-REALLY!!Use plenty of dish soap(liquid),& WD-40, an extra set of hands is helpful on 9’ door, just now ordering one for my 16’ door(wanted 2 C how 9’ door looked) I’m positive I’ll need an extra set of hands or 2 sets on 16’ seal!!
