this is like one of those old companies that has been around with a brand name that everyone recognzies but they rest on their brand recognition without offering newer features. Here's the issue.. this hurts my skin between the thumb and for-finger because with this design the hand slides up to the top and it's like using a pair of pliars, ever got your hand caught in the sharp part of the pliars that close? These are old timey designs. There are other models that handle the ergonomics better so that each finger has the same pressure applied. Notice when you squeeze it's mostly just your pointer and index finger applying most of the force.There is one redeeming quality with this one,.. well a few.. it's made well. It's also allows you to see the weight indicator your setting it at, not just some arbitrary resistance dial, which is good if your a weight lifter trying to track your progress... which seems like a very basic need for a weight machine.do I recommend it, ABSOLUTELY, if you're ok with getting your hand pinched and only exercising a few of your fingers in your grip. I totally recommend if you like that!

Bought 2 of these to replace these cheap and junk plastic that are flooded every marketplace ecommerce (those with counters and mostly plastic). These are worth the money becasue the quality is awesome with all metal (stainless steel and aluminum) parts. The handles are a bit slippery if your hands were wet or sweaty, but I wrapped them with Bicycle handlebar's foam wraps (added more cushion and fiction), then they are perfect.Pros:High quality metal partsVery functionalA bit heavy than the plastic ones but this is actually a good thing cause feel like I carry small dumbells and working on my wrist strength at the same timeThe adjustment design were very well thought and functionalCons:Nothing to complain about

I got this one along with another one from the same supplier. On top of that, based on other reviews regarding the grip discomfort, I got matching handle grips from JEEZAO Store (ASIN: B07QNJ434Y and ASIN: B09FLH2JTN) made out of Bamboo Sponge.Those Jezao foam grips are very grippy, do not slide off the handles on both Hand Grips. They are the same length (~10cm) as both GD hand grip Straighteners.Now, they are tricky to put on. The way you do it is by putting them on like an inch in and then gently start tapping on a flat surface as if you were using the GD grip as a rubber mallet. The bamboo sponge will naturally allow the metal grips to slide all the way in. Trying to do it by hand only won't work.I have long fingers so my gip is not affected by those sponge grips always on. For people with smaller fingers, it might be problematic.I use these GD grips to strengthen my grip before going to the gym. It also helps with my sciatica pain on the left side of my body when it affects the muscles in my left forearm due to shooting pain coming from my leg.It's indeed a well-made product. Worth investing in long-term.
