Not warm in the coldI mainly got these to protect my shoes from scuffs as I have to walk stairs and through doorways while holding my bike. They also work well for protection against dirt and mud spray. I prefer them thin and lightweight, but the obvious tradeoff is that they don't keep warmth in the winter. The stretchiness allows me to adjust Boa dials through the fabric a few clicks, but for large turns I undo the zipper. At the top where the zipper ends, the fabric does not stretch, so it is tight for thick calves, although it can gradually loosen over time. I wonder if having the zipper relocated to the front or outer sides would allow for better access to Boa dials and putting feet into the shoes, although an extra flap might be needed to protect the shoe from the zipper. Over time, the bottom also gets torn up by rocks and the front gets holes from putting the toes down, probably during clipping in and out and quick stops. It would be nice if the bottom and front could be rubberized for more durability, particularly beneath the toe tips.

Just the job to aerodynamicise your cycling shoes. You may want to pair with aero socks as quite low (cone to just above the ankle bone) , but are well made and very lightweight.
