Super useful! Actually this book fixed a lot of issues and misunderstandings a bad and half-motivated guitar teacher caused in the first place

I purchased this for my son who had recently bought a guitar. He found it very helpful to follow along with the book while practicing..

As a guitarist of fifty years I was hoping that this book would, as it says on the cover, demystify musical theory in a way which an oldie like me could understand and use to fill in some gaps - It doesn’t.Firstly a chunk of chapter 1 solely refers to notes on a keyboard not on a guitar. For me this wasn’t useful.The book is obviously written by a knowledgeable author but a tendency towards technical language throughout and instances of being immersed in the ‘deep end’ with less explanation than I would have liked, doesn’t really ‘demystify’ as it says on the cover.On the plus side, the diagrams are quite good although, these too need more explanation in places.I really wanted to like this book but it’s left me cold and not wiser. Of course I’m quite open to the possibility that I’m a musical ‘’duffer’ and that this might be a great book for others.

The quality of the book is questionable, some pages are misnumbered.
