Hasegawa Nakajima Ki84 Hayate (Frank) (plastic model) 1/72 Air Plane A4

Hasegawa are on the posh side of aircraft modelling with exact fits and neat decals. This is for a reasonably competant modeller: if you are looking for a child's toy go for Hobbyboss. Most of the instructions are in Japanese but, as we say, "the pictures are in English" so that is not a real problem. The model can be made in both wheels-down and wheels-up configuations. The propellar can be installed at a late stage after you have done all the fiddly stuff like paiting and decals. The paint guide refers to a colour range that I don't use but it is easy enough to find colour matches in the Humbrol range. The subject of the model was a late-war development that gave Japanese pilts little "extras" like armour plate and self-sealing tanks (and a total weight comparable with its American adversaries).

Una maqueta de 1982, con las líneas de panel en relieve y un habitáculo prácticamente inexistente con un asiento que parece una silla y con lo que supone 43 años después de su lanzamiento al mercado, no puede tener 5 ni siquiera 4 estrellas.Le doy 3 porque el ajuste entre las piezas es muy bueno, incluso para los estándares actuales, sus formas muy correctas y el panelado aunque en positivo tiene una distribución muy buena y que puede servir, si no se tienen planos del avión, como referencia para repanelarlo.Nos estamos volviendo muy cómodos los modelistas. Tornillos, líneas de panel en negativo finitas y límpias, con sus remaches también en negativo y mil y un detalles repartidos por todos lados incluido el habitáculo. Después están los fotograbados, las calcas en 3D también para el habitáculo etc etc. Total que cualquier día un modelista lo que querrá es meter pegamento y pintura en la caja y que tras agitarla y abrir la tapa aparezca la maqueta montada y pintada.Este kit no es eso, es uno a la antigua usanza y que vendrá muy bien para aquel que quiera ejercitarse en el sano deporte maqueteril de repanelar y, oh osadía inaudita..., remachar el avión. Además de pulirlo si es que se quiere hacer en metal natural...Enf in, este kit no es apto para "modelistes"....Eses que se gasten los titos en el de Arma Hobby, eso sí por el triple.

Die Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate war das wohl beste japanische Kampfflugzeug des zweiten Weltkriegs. Es verfügte über relativ große Geschwindigkeit und hervorragende Manövrierfähigkeit bei relativ starker Bewaffnung und wurde von Japan in China, auf den Philippinen und Okinawa, sowie zur Luftverteidigung Japans selbst eingesetzt. Obwohl noch in Serienfertigung hergestellt, konnte der Jäger nichts mehr an der Überlegenheit der Alliierten ändern, deren zahlenmäßige Überlegenheit in der zweiten Kriegshälfte gar zu deutlich war.Der Bausatz stammt ursprünglich aus dem Jahr 1987 und ist in gewohnter Hasegawa Qualität ohne deutliche Grate gefertigt und sehr detailliert und passgenau gefertigt. Es besteht aus 32 Teilen (kein Pilot) und 2 Klarsichtteilen. Decals und Boxart wurden im Laufe der Jahre mehrfach geändert und es sind momentan Decals für die beiden folgenden Versionen vorhanden:1. 29. Sentai, 2. Chutai, Taiwan 19452. 47. Sentai, 1. Chutai, Narimasu, Japan, 1945Alles in allem ein schönes Modell in gewohnter Hasegawa Qualität.
