This is the complete solution, including audio return channel support - which is interesting to me, though not something I can think of an immediate use for - at least not what I use these HDMI extenders for BUT if your connecting between a display that has built in apps or if you're using the tuner to something like a receiver that is too far away to use a regular HDMI cable then the ARC support here is going to be absolutely required.Make sure you understand that this is not IP compatible, it does not join your network, it doesn't get an address, and attempting to pass it through anything that expects TCP,UDP/IP will reject it. It is NOT a network device. The cable you use to connect the two transceivers has to be dedicated to this purpose, so if you already have an ethernet run that you rely on for network access you are not going to be able to simply add this to a switch and continue to use that cable as you have prior, you NEED TO RUN A NEW CABLE. Honestly, if adding too much latency is the trade off to that flexibility then I would rather this "HDbaseT" solution anyway.I used to struggle with wanting to move my gaming PC out of the living. When our first was born, I made the decision to move myself out of the dungeon (basement) when I wanted to do some gaming so I could at least be somewhat present with the rest of the family while I do my thing... this meant moving my gaming PC and connecting it directly to the family room AV system and it has worked out fine, but I've never liked having the big gaming tower right in visible shared area of the house (never mind what my wife things of it) and tried to compromise with an ITX build instead (more money, less performance...). I've tried my best to utilize the various local streaming options - Steam In Home Streaming, Nvidia Gamestream, etc. but always run into pain points with these solutions... more compromises compared to direct connection plus you still need some kind PC or PC like device on both ends to do it that way. Using this to get the video signal from one place to the other is just better in every way compared to traditional streaming.

The Ezcoo 4K ARC HDMI Extender is a useful and reliable method for those looking to extend their TV signals by using an Ethernet connection. Both the transmitter and receiver units are solid and well built. With the all-aluminum casing, they have a durable and industrial feel. Both units are also quite compact and slim so they can easily slide anywhere into my shelf.With this extender, I can transmit 4K signal up to almost 130 feet and 1080P up to 230 feet. Everything is basically plug n' play once I had a long enough ethernet cable. I tried extending the signal from a Firestick 4K. The picture quality and the sound are both fantastic and I was able to reproduce the 4K video nearly 30 metres away from the transmitter. The video showed no visual aberrations. This model even supports ARC. Ein Extender ist immer dann sinnvoll, wenn Quell- und Empfangsgerät zu weit auseinander stehen, um sinnvoll durch eines dieser dicken, unhandlichen HDMI-Kabel verbunden zu werden.Also, wer vom Laptop auf einen Bildschirm streamen möchte und dieser hängt an der Wand .... dann ist ein Extender ideal. Natürlich auch für viele sonstige Gelegenheiten. Eben immer dann, wenn ein Kabel zu aufwendig oder zu unästhetisch ist.Ich bin kein Techniker und dies ist das erste Gerät dieser Art, welches ich verwende. Es ist auch ohne umfassende technische Kenntnisse für einen lernwilligen Laien installierbar.Ich habe es im Wohnzimmer und mit Laptop getestet und das funktionierte sehr gut. Das Bild wurde einwandfrei übertragen, das Signal kam korrekt an. Das ermöglicht mir von nun an, in einem Zimmer Filme abzuspielen und sie im anderen Zimmer zu sehen.Die beiden Geräte, die ich bekam, waren sehr gut verpackt und sind qualitativ gut verarbeitet. Und da sie tun, was sie sollen, bin ich sehr zufrieden.

Neben dem wohl offensichtlich häufigsten Einsatzzweck eines solchen HDMI over Ethernet-Extender, nämlich das Bild von Überwachungskameras über große Distanz zu übertragen, eignet sich der Extender ebenso hervorragend für meine Heimkino-Belange.Mit einem normal ausgestatteten Wohnzimmer, und einem Selfmade-Heimkino im Keller, war die Bildübertragung vom Kabel-Receiver, sollte im Keller doch einmal das normale TV-Programm laufen, immer eine richtige Zumutung.Ein 15m-HDMI-Kabel quer durchs Wohnzimmer, den Treppenabgang hinunter und dann freischwingend an den Beamer zu stecken, hatte schon etwas Abenteuerliches und sah, gelinde gesagt, bescheiden aus.Jetzt, zur Fußball-EM, kam der Extender gerade richtig, war zumindest mal ein Cat.5e-Kabel unter Putz nach unten gelegt. Die Bildübertragung funktioniert einwandfrei, wenn auch ich nur vom FullHD-Signal sprechen kann, da 4K bei uns noch keinen Einzug gehalten hat.Das Dolby-Digital-Signal wird ebenfalls problemlos übertrage und die beiden Extender machen schlicht "was sie sollen"
