First of all, it is great to see a smoke alarm with a replaceable battery, so many now have to be thrown away when the batteries expire. This smoke alarm is a nice, neat size, it is light and can be screwed or stuck in place. The ability to notify of fire via Wi-Fi is what made me want to use this alarm. I had a smoke detector installed as part of my security system but that relies on a mobile signal which is not good here, this one uses Wi-Fi which is excellent. Setting it up is very quick and easy, the instructions on the app are very easy to follow. I used the Tuya app but I think you can also use Smart Life. I like that you can silence the alarm via the app, no more running around looking for a broom with my partner waving a towel while our dog goes nuts lol, it is so much better. We have a spray that we use to test our smoke alarms, we gave this one a quick test and it passed. We have solid fuel heating and leaving the fire lit when we go out is always a worry so this gives really good peace of mind. After you have done a test you get an alert and a notification via your phone.

Once paired, it disconnected after 5 minutes and the network test failed.
