Heinz Simply Tomato Ketchup with No Artificial Sweeteners (20 oz Bottle)

On the front of the bottle it says no artificial sweeteners, but this ketchup does have cane sugar in it. It’s recommended that ketchup be used in moderation due to its high sugar content. At least this version doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup in it.It also has natural flavors in it. While this sounds healthy it may be misleading. Even though they come from natural sources, they often contain artificial and synthetic chemicals added during the manufacturing process. (Good RX health)I read an article online that ranked different ketchup from worst to best and Heinz didn’t do so well, although they didn’t have this exact brand on the list.Based on the website, eat this, not that!, True Made Foods no sugar veggie ketchup was the winner. It had the healthiest ingredients and was low in sugar. I probably should have done the research before I got this Heinz ketchup but i bought it out of habit since I’ve used it in the past. Lesson learned, maybe going forward I’ll switch things up and give the true made ketchup a try. Fortunately I only use ketch up once in a while and in limited quantities so I’m not that concerned about it.

I love Heinz simply ketchup. No high fructose corn syrup or artificial crap. Used to be able to get it locally at a big box store but now they only offer the regular. Eh. So, I order this way. Tasty. I love ketchup with my air fried potatoes and with certain other dishes. Because of health reasons and more so after reading how other countries restrict certain unhealthy ingredients in regular ketchup, I decided to give this a try. I really like this one a lot! Heinz has always been my preferred brand and I am delighted that this formula is now available in the United States. Hoping more companies move away from high fructose corn syrup use and advocate that the FDA starts following better regulation of the ingredients that are causing so many health problems.

Many years ago, newly married and broke, we tried cheaper brands of ketchup. I even tried some name brands that were on sale. I finally told my husband that the only ketchup I want is Heinz. I was willing to get other things generic but however many dimes we saved it wasn’t worth it. I still never buy any ketchup that isn’t Heinz.
