UPDATED REVIEW!!After repairing the faulty stitching, I went ahead and ordered two more of these in different colors. And they are awesome! I love the pocket layout, and the fit. The only REAL issue I can point out is that they are made of a fairly thick material - a.k.a. Gonna be VERY HOT wearing them in the summer. They're perfect for early and late season, just not middle is the summer. In my perfect world these would be available in a lighter material....but the stitching on the Velcro waist closure (in lieu of a snap or button) started coming apart almost immediately. As you can see in the three pictures, it doesn't appear that the machine stitcher was working properly. The 'X' stitch across the interior of the Velcro doesn't go through to the back. And the Velcro patch itself is pulling apart where the needle went through. The stitching along the short side where one would grab the closure to pull it open is missing altogether, again - see the enclosed pics. Great shorts other then that!! I see other reviewers complaining about the size of the "cell phone pocket" being 'too small'. Well, that's because it's designed to hold ammo clips - not cell phones. I personally like where the pockets are located and the sizing. They're great for people who actually work for a living - you know who you are! ***6 month update****. These shorts are amazing. I wear them about 3 days out of the week.... every week since purchase except the 1 week they spent soaking due to becoming drenched in diesel fuel in an accident. THEY CAME CLEAN!!!!!! Almost no signs of wear at this point and I have wore the hell out of them. I honestly cannot image anything that would make me happier with these shorts. Worth every penny! The seams could blow apart tomorrow and I would feel I had got my money’s worth.I was worried about ordering these over another brand and when they first came out of the box my worries did not subside. I wore them for a day and decided I could live with them. I washed them and then wore them again.... big difference. Much more comfortable after being washed. I have now worn them a total of 7-8 days before leaving this review.They fit as I would want/expect them to. The zippers feel a touch cheap, but seem to be holding up fine. I was worried about the velcro only on the waist with no button. So far that too is holding up. I like these shorts enough that my wife has already agreed to install a button or similar should the velcro give out. Fabric is good ripstop. Length is great. There is a good shape to the inseam leaving room in the groin for comfort. I ccw several items and these work well with my holster and other knife clips and such. I will buy another pair.

These are the best pair of shorts I own. Cargo shorts in general are a bit cumbersome unwieldy if you try to put anything in the pockets. These shorts however have the same or more capacity as a cargo short and the pockets are located semi-tightly close to the side of your thigh, meaning you can run with these shorts and not have your wallet or keys banging around your knees, they are square away in a ripper pocket. The material is rip stop, so sitting on rocks, or rough surfaces you don't have to worry about tears, and they fit to size.

Nice fit, comfortable, and well made. Worth the money.
