I got this to run a 350 watt DC motor, works good. It has a DC coil. I think this contactor is better to run a motor continuously than a relay. It can handle high amperage.

I bought a large 20cfm compressor a few months ago and needed to put a contactor across the pressure switch as it's a 6.5 HP motor with a large LR current. This will do the job nicely. Just need to make the time to go hook it up. I did energize the coil and boy does it slam on hard. I doubt there will be any problems at all.Not that it will matter but my compressor is single phase - I'll leave the extra contact unused. Don't let the extra contact cause any concern if you are using single phase, just don't use it. This is a nice heavy unit and it will work well for me.
