Being only an M6 thread, the detection distance on this sensor is quite low at ~1mm. Testing this senor on the bench shows very little wiggle room for this, as 1mm seems to be about the max distance I can get before the sensor will no longer pick up a ferrous object. Within that range the triggering is very consistent and with 150ma of drive current available, you have many different options on how to interface this sensor with I/O.

My FLSUN printer used this style of proximity sensor so I tried to use this as a replacement when the original failed. I changed the connector and installed it. WORKS PERFECTLY! The unit has given great consistency and is very reliable in detecting the metal hotbed.Its construction is solid and the wide voltage range will work with either 12 or 24 volt printers. It will drop right into the existing mount and is easily adjusted with the nuts provided.I will be replacing my other detectors with these now that I have tested them and found how well they work!
