I installed this on a large Honda V twin motorcycle VTX 1800. Originally the unit would continuously restart. the problem turned out to be the inductive wire that you wrap around the spark plug wire was wrapped more than the recommended 3-5 turns. I had a little extra so I went around about 10 wraps which is too much. Apparrently this sends a higher than needed voltage to the unit and disrupts the electronics. changed it back to 5 wraps and it works flawless. I also changed the RPM sensing time from .5 seconds to 1 second and it reads smoother. Does not seem too waterproof but for the money, you cant beat it. I'll reveiw itafter the first drenching.EDIT: Went on a 1000 mi. Trip and it worked flawlessly. When the motor is not running, it returns to the hour meter readout.

Works as intended but the instructions are vague and it took 15 min or so to figure it out. Used for my vtx 1300 after rebuilding the carb and it sounded like it was idling high which it was. It was idling at 1400rpms and this helped drop it to 950-1,000 but the instructions could be better.
