The train arrived on time in excellent condition. The train was bought for a young Beatles fan and he loves it and has it on display with other Beatles memorabilia in his music room. The detail in the trucks is good and the engine runs well on a short length of display track.

If you’re a Beatles fan you should know that reference to Dr Robert.These trains are excellent! The images are crisp and clear and the color scheme of each “wagon” (I call them box cars) is wonderfully done. If you have any of the other Hornby wagons of the Beatles, these will fit nicely. But what’s more is the way the wagons work with the train engine. It’s reminiscent of the classic train engine like the one used in one of their music videos and the small engine used in their 1965 classic, Help!I had hesitated to purchase the prior wagons because I didn’t have a proper engine that I felt worked well with them. I had already had the more modern style passenger train featuring the Yellow Submarine theme. So this set convinced me to go get the album covers on the prior released wagons which will work well with these models.Be on the lookout for next year’s edition of the B-side series of EPs. The engine has a different color scheme than this and will feature 3 more EPs.Even if you don’t have a place to run the trains, they will still display nicely on a shelf. If you have them all, you can put the cars in order of their release. Or, whatever works for your tastes. But you won’t be disappointed by the quality of these vehicles. Just don’t wait because Hornby doesn’t lie when they say limited edition. There are only 1,000 of these produced, so don’t tarry if you’re interested in getting them for your collection.*I removed the plastic wrap which prevents the trains from rubbing against the container in the packaging to get the best image to post.
