I just had a brand new composite front door fitted in the UK and needed a spyhole.I have a rubbish Bosch drill, only rubbish as it's very underpowered for most things and limited to a 10mm shank. This was only one of a few 16mm's I could find with a nice small hex shank that would fit my drill. Ran a pilot hole all the way through, then ran this beast halfway through dead slow and it chewed the door up like butter. Clean cut and no messing around. Same on the other side. Few more times in and out to clear out the foam mess inside, job done.Only negative is I found out that it doesn't seem to cut very well if you accidentally leave your drill in reverse... oops.

I used this on a couple of doors I am making, while this made short work of drilling the hole for my ball catch I did find it difficult to drill straight. The spiral guide tip pulls the drill bit forward, but I found that it had a mind of it's own and did not want to go straight, so I had to stop and reverse and then go forward again - multiple times. But it was very easy to drill through the wood.

I needed to bore 30 holes in thick timber eaves beams on a new build barn. This bit did the job with ease. Because it's a boring bit it is easy to feel when it breaks through allowing you to counter-bore and not rip the inner face. Just as sharp now As when I first used it. Cheap. Sharp. Easy to control. Perfect!

I used this to install an eyehole for my front (wooden) door. Did the job no problems and cut a nice even and straight hole without damaging the door. Very happy, cheers.

As some others have previously said, this bit will require a drill with a fair amount of torque, but the product itself performs excellently, cleaner holes than a normal flat bit, and much faster. Appears to be keeping reasonably sharp after several cuts.
