I am not an audiophile, but the sound is good. It goes pretty loud, but hopefully nobody has to use it that loud. The only nitpick is the blue power light which is quite bright and stands out in a dimmed out desk setup in the evening. It could have been dimmer, though you can always stick something on it to reduce its intensity.Happy with the speakers, using them for more than a year (at the time of writing this review).

Habe die Kanto YU2 in weißem Glanzlack bestellt.Klang:Der Sound ist stets verzerrungsfrei und klar, allerdings wird gefühlt nur ein Teil des Frequenzspektrums abgedeckt.Der Klang wirkt leicht hohl und dünn - vor allem der Bass ist sehr eindimensional und die Anschaffung eines zusätzlichen Subwoofers ist wohl unumgänglich. Die Höhen und Mitten kommen hingegen weitaus vielseitiger rüber und klingen recht überzeugend.Die maximale Lautstärke ist für die Größe der Boxen durchaus beeindruckend und auch bei maximaler Lautstärke wird alles ohne Übersteuerung wiedergegeben.Verarbeitung und Design:An einer Box ist Vorne der Glanzlack an einer Stelle abgesprungen und eines der Anschlusskabel war nicht sauber mit Lötzinn (?) eingefasst.Die blaue LED zur Energieanzeige an der rechten Front hebt sich für meinen Geschmack etwas unschön vom Design ab. Ansonsten aber durchaus stylische Boxen.Testumgebung:Anschluss erfolgte über USB an den PC und getestet wurde mit THX-Testvideos sowie Musikstücke von The Prodigy (Breathe, Firestarter, Voodoo People).Fazit:Auch wenn sie kompakt sind - für Stereoboxen zu einem Preis von 230 € (Mai 2017) ist mir der Klang zu eindimensional und ein von Anfang an abgeblätterter Glanzlack spricht auch nicht für die Kanto-Qualitätskontrolle.Werde es stattdessen mal mit den Teufel Raumfeld Stereo Cubes versuchen - diese sind zwar noch mal ca. 130 € teurer, aber versprechen eine umfangreichere Soundkulisse bei Kompaktbauweise, inkl. WLAN-Streaming.

Ich bin vom ersten Moment an in diese Lautsprecher verliebt gewesen und der Klang hat mich überwältigt. Ich hoffe, dass sie mich viele Jahre begleiten werden.

Questi altoparlanti suonano bene, meglio di quanto si possa pensare per dispositivi di queste dimensioni. Ho notato che più la sorgente è di buona qualità più il risultato è esaltante e sorprendente. Con segnale di bassa qualità non fanno miracoli e possono anche deludere. Usandoli collegati al computer e suonando più spesso files MP3 devo accettare questo e godere pienamente delle ottime performance con files audio di qualità. I bassi sono buoni ad un volume audio non spinto, se li volete ottimi prendete dei monitors da studio. Io sono soddisfatto del mio acquisto.

I’m so in love with these speakers!Size & Style:The size is exactly what I needed to fit my desk setup. Small enough to fit around and between my screens. They’re positioned around a 27” monitor for scale. Wasn’t expecting to find quality speakers that matched my colour theming perfectly either so I’m insanely hyped about the look of these! They’re beautiful in person, well made, stylish and cute, with a beautiful finish.Sound:Great sound. It was pretty much what I expected from a speaker of this price point. It’s not blow-your-mind fantastic, but it sounds pretty damn nice, perfect for your day-to-day desk audio needs. Sure, you can always get better at a higher price point, but if this is what you can afford and you like the look, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I just had a little Ditto speaker before for my gaming needs and the sound that puts out is utterly atrocious (tragic for playing music) and I’d had enough. I’ve been getting back into music lately and rekindling my love of metalcore, mathcore and shoegazey stuff (Rolo Tomassi as a reference), and man, that kind of sound out of low-quality speakers when it’s so detail rich and textured is just a miserable experience. Hearing the music I love not being utterly butchered is a good feeling.Setup:I’ve never set speakers like these up before tbh, I’m usually a headphones for music kind of person, but Ive been wearing my headsets and headphones less and less lately and wanting a way to listen to good quality music outside of my headphones. The instructions in the manual were easy to follow, most of it you didn’t really need a manual for, just common sense, though I did bring up a Yu4 YouTube tutorial for the speaker cables. I’m sure they’re not a dissimilar setup to other similar desk speakers.
