Keep in kit for repairs on the road - need them periodically, giving fast fix for bust link.Main purpose is quick removal of chains for deep clean. I have two chains I use in rotation. Quick links mean I can rapidly replace dirty with clean. Seem to work smoothly and be strong enough. Shifting fine.
