A nice quality, lightweight safari/sun hat.This is a quite sturdy hat, made from a 65% Cotton, 35% Polyester textile mix, that gives good sun cover while allowing the crown to be a light, breathable fabric for hot summer days. On both sides of the crown there are two small circular metal mesh vents that allow air circulation, and if you look at my last photo it shows the hat has a full inner lining which keeps the outer fabric of the hat off your head, giving more protection from the heat of the sun, and room for air to circulate.The left hand image panel states the hat brim is 2.5" wide, whereas on the hat I received it is 2.75", and I'm happy with that as it gives even more shade. It's a slightly padded/thickened brim with stitched banding to strengthen it and give shape and support. As is necessary for shipping the hat came folded, so there were the usual creases that affect the shape and levelness of the brim, but I gently, on a very low heat, steamed the brim so it was barely damp, and simply left it laid flat on a chair seat to relax and set its shape. It worked, and it's now level and looks a lot better.The details in the written 'Product Description' section further down the page states the hat has an 'Adjustable Secure Fit', and the main description says it will fit a head size of '22-23.6 inches', but there is no visible way to lessen the size of the hat. I'm female, with a 60cm hat size, and this fits me perfectly; it's neither too big or too small, but I can't see how this can be made smaller as it states 60cm is the largest fit. There is a good, strong chin strap to keep the hat on in a breeze.I really like the fabric of the hat, it's the chequered weave polyester/cotton textile that's seen in lots of lightweight sports clothing and bags; I have a padded gilet, and a lightweight, packable duffle-type bag in this textile. It's strong and wears well, and I really do like the soft beige tone of this for summer. It's a hat that gives excellent sun protection for hot days.The price at the time of review is £9.69, and particularly for that price i think this is an excellent buy; I can't fault the design, the stitching, or the finish. It's a casual, functional sun hat I'll get lots of use from this summer in the garden. 5*

I really like this hat. The pictures online look just like the real thing, so you know what you're getting. It's perfect for keeping the sun off your face and the back of your neck when you're outside. The brim goes all the way around, which is great. You can also make it tighter or looser to fit your head just right. It's good for any activity that you will be outdoors for and therefore at risk of UV. It's comfy to wear, not too heavy and breathable. If you're often outside, this hat is a simple and helpful way to stay cool and out of the sun.
