Seems to work good. For those saying heat guns don't put out enough heat to melt the solder you just have to be patient, or your heat gun is a blow dryer. I had my porter cable heat gun on high, the shrink tube melts first, don't stop there. Keep the heat to it and the solder will shrink and you ll see it melt between the wires and push air out. I'm mid thirties, almost 200lb so I gave it a fair tug. I could not pull this connection apart.COMPARED TO OTHER PRODUCTS, TAKES MORE HEAT. I bought some shrink tube with sealant from a distributor that I've used for battery cables. It is a quality product but if you put too much heat to it it wants to shrink too much and split. So I had my heat gun just above half way for that shrink tube. This product I had it on high and heated it longer to melt the solder, but that's understandable because it's more material to heat/shrink. And the rubber shrink tube itself did not split or burn as a result of the additional heat.I've only done about 6 joints out of the 400+ pieces but so far so good. Beats the heck out of butt crimping or twisting and soldering by hand and then shrink tubing.I am hesitant to call this actual "solder" as usually the wires themselves have to be fluxed and heated for solder to flow into the joint. I think this is more of a low melting point substance hardening among the wires. However it seals good and won't pull apart so whatever you want to call it they are worth having.

I used about 8 of these so far and i can hounestly say they aint bad at all does the job and if heated properly (with a heat gun) the solder will cover all the wires and the glue part holds good they seem like kinda think heat shrink so shouldnt cut easy i will say DO NOT use a torch on these it works but ull have trouble it heats way to fast and blows solder out thru the wire coating i tryed it myself on random wire i didnt need cause for sure someone will try it and say they r junk but that is user error if it happens to u so use a heat gun only for these it takes a min or so to do the job

Very easy to use and much faster than solder and shrink tubing. They have a small diameter on one end and a larger one on the other. Put the smaller end on first so that when you slide it over the twisted wire it goes over any lumps that are slightly larger than the wire. Heat with a heat gun until the solder flows into the connection.
