I go through a lot of garlic presses.I cook every meal from fresh ingredients and that includes at least an entire bulb of garlic in every pan of meat.Garlic presses come to my house to be crushed into pieces and thrown in the trash.I've only used this three times but I am happy to say that despite its shortcomings, it's the best crusher I've ever used, and I didn't know it was possible to have a device that works this well in the kitchen. It is easy to use and durable.I recommend that you buy this without hesitation!There are two grievances, I list them more so you can understand them and decide if it works for you.The first is that it is very possible to pinch your hand badly. This device is intended to provide a ton of leverage but it's also low-profile meaning it does not take up a lot of space. You can see the safety/functionality trade-off here. I haven't pinched myself yet, but caution is necessary when I use it because I know at some point a big pinch is coming!The second complaint isn't so much a complaint, as discovering that I have to clean this in a new way than I'm used to. Every press I've had previously had one of those little stabbers which could reverse back, and push out the pulp which would make the rest of the cleaning quite simple. I can't do that with this one. There is no set of stabbers & you can see that the screen flips out, and it is intended for more than just garlic. It looks intended to be thoroughly cleaned for heavy use in many different ingredient situations. For example, I already crushed clementines and I found that it made it very easy to clean because it folded out. Cleaning will be a little more time consuming but you can subtract that extra time from the fact that I can crush my product literally ten times faster now.The final compliment I'd like to state is that there is no waste or leaking. I did not find that any of the product squished out the edges as I pressed down. Almost 100% of the product got crushed through the holes where it was supposed to go, and that is not something I've previously experienced. What a pleasure to NOT have to deal with scraping leaky bits. A real time saver.While I have only used this for a week I am confident to say that I am as pleased as can be the money spent, and I expect to own this for life. It's durable beyond anything I could expect.Buy it.Edit: I came back to add this piece of information to the review: I have crushed over 50 entire bulbs of garlic with this thing and it's as good as the day I bought it. I am very confident after several months of ownership that this is truly a workhorse and you need to have this in your kitchen. I'd also like to point out that after several months I have never once pinched myself.

Esta es la mejor prensa de ajo que he tenido. Me dieron uno hace unos años en los Estados Unidos y me enamoré de ella. Luego compré una prensa de ajo recomendada por Amazon (Amazon Choice) por la mitad del precio, lo que hace un buen trabajo pero no es nada comparado con este. Mi padre siempre me dijo de niño "Recibes lo que pagas", y esto es 100% cierto para esta prensa de ajo. Acabo de comprar otra y, a pesar del alto precio, sé que he hecho lo correcto. Es duradero, muy fácil de limpiar, funciona perfectamente sin esfuerzo en el ajo y también en el jengibre que las prensas de ajo más baratas no pueden manejar.

Wir hatten jahrelang eine Standard-Knoblauchpresse aus Aluminium. Hat ihren Dienst verrichtet und ich habe nicht weiter drüber nachgedacht, obwohl die Reinigung jedes mal ein Schmerz im Allerwertesten war und das Metall so matt und angelaufen war, dass es wie ein antiker Kellerfund aussah.Irgendwann ist das Teil dann (endlich) zerbrochen und ich wollte uns mal etwas besseres Gönnen. Letztendlich habe ich diese Knoblauchpresse bestellt und das einzige, was ich bereut habe, ist, dass unsere alte Presse nicht früher das zeitliche gesegnet hat ;)Sieht edel aus, liegt gut in der Hand, arbeitet sauber und lässt sich gut reinigen.
