this is built to c-stand specs. very strong. and heavy. on a c-stand...no issue. on a regular light-stand, be sure to position the arm over a leg. also when picking up the light-stand by the column, it tends to lean a lot in the arm direction. no issues in practice but just be aware. did the job of offsetting my ad200 nicely. i use the extension cable so the weight of the ad200 battery/cap is on the column not the arm. i only used the ad200 "beauty-dish" so i don't know how this would go with a large softbox. at some point, the offset will men sandbags on the other legs are required. i didn't use any and i was outdoors in an alleyway.

Great way to offset your studio lights with out a boom. Super sturdy. I have 2.

Hiermit lassen sich der Blitz samt Lichtformer sehr schnelle und stabil zur Seite aussrichten, so daß man unter beiden hindruchfotografieren kann. Zudem ist das gesamte Bauteil sehr stabil und gut verarbeitet.

I shoot classical guitar videos and use Kupo C-stands to hold main and fill lights. Trained models keep their chins up but sitting guitarists play with heads down, forming unsightly shadows on lower face and neck. So I use a small softbox below the mains to fill in unsightly shadows and the Kupo Sidearm is perfect for securing the softbox to the C-stand riser, eliminating the need for another light stand. It also fits my beefy perfectly but the clamp will not adjust down enough for small light duty stands. The Sidearm grips the riser like a vise, is easy to attach and can support a large video light or even hang a without flinching. The choice of baby pin or receiver makes for flexible mount options and allows use of a Magic Arm without an adapter. All in all a well made and designed arm and a near permanent fixture on my C-stand.
