Bought this foam to redo my dining room chairs, gave me 4 chairs pads, mind you my chairs are odd size (20 inch bottom and 16inch above) my set is 6 chairs so will have to buy another one but for now 4 is enough. I tried cutting with a retractable blade but it was not cutting nicely, a knife did a better job for the size (2inch foam). I received t this morning and took it out to decompress, no odour at all (I was surprised often it smells chemicals) one of my cats discovered it and went to town with his claws jumping on it and stuff (maybe he was possessed?) So I guess itnis cat approuved? Firm for sitting, I am 200lbs and it is comfortable to sit on (glad I went with the 2 inch instead of the 1inch.It has creases after decompression still, do not lay fully flat but for what I need it for it is fine. My upholstery material is thick so the creases won't show.

Although very thick and slightly difficult to work with, product is great for its purpose.

These were exactly what I needed. I ordered the 2” version, and while they arrived folded with some creases, they expanded fully and evenly within about 10 minutes. I cut them to fit and placed them under my sofa cushions to boost support—and the difference is night and day. It genuinely feels like I upgraded to a brand-new couch, all for just $120.

purchased the 2" extra firm to go underneath the couch cushions as the couch as basically no support. The foam fully expanded almost instantly which was a nice surprise and only took an hour or two to air out the smell. On the box, there is nothing to indicate whether this was in fact the extra firm. I went to the Linenspa site and realized the confusion is due to the way Amazon describes the listing. the Amazon page refers to both versions as "high density" with a "firm" and "extra firm" option. However on the official website the options instead are "standard" and "high density". I am hoping that because the box said "high density" it is referring to the "extra firm" option, however, as many reviewers have pointed out, this does not feel very firm. I was expecting little give but this can be pinched flat with ease. Another thing i noticed that most of the reviews pointed out was that it was a quarter inch smaller thickness than advertised. I expected this going in as it did not want the couch raised too much and figured if it has a little give, it woudn't be an issue...but between it not being firm AND less thick, there is not much of a difference. Perhaps a 3" could fix this but 1) that costs more and 2) i'm worried it will make the couch feel awkward (especially since the foam only fits the couch lengh wise and is a big short in width). The couch basically has no support on its own so this is better than nothing but it is not as supportive as i was expecting and the give make it a bit springy. Even on sale, i am unsure this was worth 50$. You're probably better off going to home depot, cutting some plywood for a fraction of the cost if you're willing to put in extra effort. Unfortunately, as far as upholtry foam goes, amazon only seems to have 2 other brands, neither of which have many or good reviews. It is quite possible this is only listed as a best seller because Linenspa is a reliable brand for budget memory foam bed toppers (but as a budget brand it tends to be soft which is in line with this product as well)
