I'm not using it for salt. I'm using it for hand scrubbing soap. It is a beautiful piece.

This Marble Salt Cellar is so beautiful in person. It is made with REAL marble and has some weight to it. Looks great on my shelf and adds decor as well as utilization. You can add a number of items to this that you want to keep readily available. Has a built in spoon which is a great touch.

First let me say this salt cellar is made with a beautiful heavy grade marble. It might not be very big but it has some really good weight to it. As you can see from my photos we put some Celtic salt in it. It does a good job of keeping the salt protected from debris and moisture.The little spoon works perfectly with the slot in the lid.It looks so good that it's now an addition to our table set.

I love the concept of a salt cellar, so i wanted to try it out. I'm using this to store celtic sea salt which is a flaked variety that has a heavy and almost wet texture. Keeping it in the cellar as opposed to the sealable plastic bag seems to work great-- I haven't had any issues with humidity/ clumping or hardening.It's definitely real stone/ marble and very well made.Even if it didn't work for salt I would find something to use it with-- it's just gorgeous. It is quite small, but true to product dimensions. Overall I highly recommend it.

I didn't know what quality to expect, but this is flawless. Perfectly milled and glazed. No cracks, chips, or imperfections. It's heavy and has a good capacity. The only thing that surprised me is that it comes in an ordinary cardboard box -- see photo. If it had a fancier presentation, it would make an impressive gift. I mean, it would still make a great gift, but if the box were nicer you could fool people into thinking you had spent a lot more. :)
