Martha Mier's Favorite Solos, Bk 3: 9 of Her Original Piano Solos

The students can play these pieces after about 5 years of piano lessons. They are beautiful, fun pieces, and I use many of her books, from beginner to advanced levels as supplemental material to the piano methods.

Martha Mier is a gem of a composer and I am so glad I discovered her work. I play for my own pleasure, and find her pieces good to sight read , well constructed and my only problem is the grade system .....in the USA the grading of levels does not correspond with the UK grades......hence one can but books that are not suitable. English musicians watch put for her pieces...they are delightful.

My students love Martha Mier's arrangements and compositions. I want so much to tell her what her music means to me and to my piano students. This solo book has a wide variety of musical styles, beginning with a jazz piece, followed by a somber meditative composition.
