Having recently purchased a Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ90, I have been looking around for a decent case that will afford the camera a degree of protection from the knocks and bumps of travelling without breaking the bank. I also wanted something with a neck strap for easy access as I find belt mounted cases inconvenient. Having spent several hours looking around web stores, including Amazon, and after a couple of false purchases I settled on this case from MegaGear. It arrived today and I am very satisfied. It is a good solid case externally made of black ‘leather’ (hard not soft thus retaining its shape), the stitching looks to be good, and the inside is finished with a black suede-like lining offering a soft-feel finish. The included neck strap attaches via snap swivels and is made of the same material as the case, being ‘leather’ on one side and suede-like finish to the other. The catch securing the flap is magnetic and closes efficiently and effectively. No, the case is not going to be fully waterproof simply due to its design but this is not a major concern for me. The case should certainly shed the odd raindrop should one be caught in a shower; however, the whole thing is small enough to go into a pocket or backpack should a downpour arrive.Upon inserting the TZ-90 and closing the flap, there is a little lateral (side-to-side) movement of the camera, almost no forward-back movement, and no vertical movement. Inserting a small microfibre lens cleaning type cloth into the case along with the camera takes up any movement and provides a very secure environment for the camera.In short, this case is compact and a good fit for the TZ90, looks as though it will provide good protection from physical damage, and allows ready and rapid access to the camera. Thoroughly recommended on first inspection.
